Terms & Conditions

1. Making a booking and payment

Bookings are made by telephone or in writing directly with a member of our Sales Team. A written confirmation from the client, by email or mail, confirms and blocks the reservation for the client, in the form of a RESA number. However, the booking and contract between the client and Bigfoot Travel is not formally confirmed until we have received the 30% deposit.

In the case of a telephone booking made within 10 weeks of departure and where payment is made by Visa, MasterCard, Delta or Switch, a contract shall come into existence immediately we orally confirm the booking.

2. Deposits

30% of the Total Price package is payable immediately upon confirmation of booking. The balance of the booking reservation (including any additional extras or modifications from the time of the initial booking confirmation) is payable in full no later than 10 weeks prior to arrival time.

Bookings are confirmed on receipt of payment of the deposit when a confirmation invoice will be issued. This documentation should be carefully checked and we should be informed of any corrections within 10 days of receipt as it may not be possible to make changes at a later date. Bookings made within 10 weeks of departure must be paid in full at the time of booking. If payment is not received in full on time, we reserve the right to cancel your holiday and levy cancellation charges in accordance with the "Cancellation" section below.

3. Please note there is a 1% surcharge payable for card transactions (Visa, MasterCard, Delta, Switch) which will automatically be added to your balance.

4. For bookings made directly between the client and an authorised agent, the contract remains between the client and the agent, with the agents Terms & Conditions applicable. Bigfoot Travel will remain the travel operator and provider, but will have no direct or formal relationship with the client, other than to professionally provide the services and accommodation that we clearly define in our brochure and web site. All matters concerning payments, discrepancies, refunds or cancellations are to be dealt between the client and the agent responsible for the sale of the holiday. Likewise, it is the agent’s responsibility to inform and comply within the terms & conditions of Bigfoot Travel Ltd.

NB All in resort extras purchased during the clients stay can be purchased directly by the client from Bigfoot Travel Ltd.

For bookings made directly between the client and Bigfoot Travel Ltd, the contract is between the client and Bigfoot Travel, with our Terms & conditions applicable. The agents role in such instances is to have sourced and transferred the party details to Bigfoot, and be rewarded with the negotiated commission, which is payable at an agreed time after the departure of the clients from resort.

5. All tickets will be sent out 10-14 days prior to your departure providing full payment has been received. Your travel tickets need careful checking as timings are subject to change and may vary from those on your confirmation invoice.

6. Literature accuracy (web / brochure / descriptive)

We have done our best to ensure that all descriptions contained in our website, brochure and general descriptions are correct and accurate in accordance to the latest information available at the time of publication.

We will notify you of any changes when you make your booking. The photographs featured are there to give a general impression rather than details. There may be items of furniture etc which have since been changed or removed from the accommodation.

7. Passenger names

It is important that the name shown on your ticket should exactly match your name as it appears on your passport, so please ensure that all names are entered correctly on the booking form as it is often not possible to change it without incurring charges of up to the full value of the original ticket.

8. Booking alterations

An alteration made within 10 weeks of departure constitutes a complete holiday cancellation (with appropriate cancellation charges being incurred) and new arrangements made will then be treated as a new booking. The only exception to this is the substitution of a party member where the original person is prevented from travelling provided we are notified 21 days prior to departure with payment of the £25 amendment fee together with all additional costs incurred by making such a transfer.

9. If you wish to change certain aspects of your booking you can do so on our website using your booking code reference. Any alterations made by our reservation team will incur a charge of £25 per change.

10. Complaints and arbitration

We are always very interested in hearing your comments on your holiday. We will be giving you a questionnaire in resort and would greatly appreciate it if you could complete it and return it to us.

11. In the event of a complaint concerning your holiday, you should immediately report it to the Bigfoot representative in the resort and/or the Bigfoot office as well as to the relevant supplier, specifying in writing all the relevant details in order for us to undertake a thorough investigation. If the matter cannot be resolved on the spot and you wish to take it up on your return, we must be notified in writing within 28 days of your return holiday date. Should it prove not to be possible to settle the dispute in an amicable way, you may refer the matter to a court of law.

12. Your contract is with Bigfoot Travel LTD, Winchcombe House, 123-126 Bartholomew St, Newbury. Berkshire. UK. RG145BN. This contract is governed by English Law and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Cancellations

13. Should you have to cancel, the person who confirmed the booking or Lead Name of the Party, should immediately inform us in writing. Cancellation charges are as follows and applicable from the day we receive written notification. Insurance premiums and amendment charges are non-refundable. Please note that airlines in particular sometimes charge a 100% cancellation fee.

Cancellation by us

16. We do reserve the right to cancel your holiday. In the unlikely event of this happening – other than the failure on your part to pay us the final balance by the due date detailed on your confirmation invoice – we will offer you the choice of either purchasing another holiday from us and receiving or paying any price difference or cancelling your holiday and receiving a prompt and full refund.

Security

17. We take the issue of chalet security very seriously. However, owing to the nature of chalet holidays, the buildings may not be locked at all times. Please be aware that there will also be shared use with other guests and staff of the entrance door.

Special requests

18. Please let us know any special requests you may have at the time of booking. Although we cannot guarantee it, we will do our best to meet your request but failing to do so will not constitute a breach of contract on our part.

No variations shall be made to the above conditions unless written and signed by David Kartal. The contract between Bigfoot Travel Limited and the client is subject to English Law and Jurisdiction.

The prices quoted are subject to change if major currency fluctuation occurs between the time of the quotation and receipt of the final payment for the event.

Prices are inclusive of VAT.
