For a large group or for those who want to design their own day this is a must. You are met at your accommodation by your instructor on the first day you arrive, where you can discuss your ski itinerary. The next day you will be met at your chalet or apartment, then taken to the ski slopes where you will enjoy the highest professional instruction designed to fit you or your groups needs.

For large groups the price is the same as booking ski school. The difference is you have complete flexibility.

All private ski lessons and guiding are organised by our partners Prestige.

Group Ski Lessons and Guiding

For those of you who want to join normal ski school we have worked with ESF, Chamonix largest ski school, for the past 23 years. This option is cheaper for small groups but naturally is far more inflexible than hiring your own teacher. For example you can choose the time of day you start skiing with a private instructor or guide but with group bookings this is not possible. Most courses begin at 9am.

Ski school in Chamonix is very popular. There are courses for everybody and every standard.

Child Care

Child care facilities are offered throughout the Valley. There is ski instruction in both the town and Argentiere by the Grand Montets ski area. Children six months to twelve years are admitted these child care centres which have games, crafts, ski lessons with videos and outdoor snow games.

We can kit you out by one of our ski-hire shop partners, with all of the top-quality equipment necessary for your winter sports.

The shops we use in the Chamonix valley have a good range of both skis and snowboards with the latest models available for hire. If you are interested in purchasing equipment, they also offer good value.

To speed up the hiring process you can pre-book for your skis, giving us your details in advance. As a Bigfoot client, you will be entitled to:

• Try snowboarding: swap your skis for a snowboard half way through your holiday (Depends on availability) – your chalet host or rep will be able to arrange this for you.
• Mid-week service: just bring your skis in half way through the week to really hone those edges – free of charge!
• Change your equipment: Ensure you are getting the most out of your holiday and your equipment – change your boots or skis as many times as you wish (no extra charge within the same price band).

Providing you have given us your details beforehand such as shoe size, height, weight, and level of skiing, we can enable quick service and maximum time on the slopes and can offer you 2 completely free options:

1. You come to the shop, we equip you and deliver your equipment to your chalet free of charge!
2. Free pickup and return to your chalet, the shop will come and collect you from your chalet, you choose and rent your equipment and then they will give you a ride home as well! (minimum 4 people)

Our partner Sanglard Sports has 3 lcoations in the centre of Chamonix (private parking available), in Argentiere at the foot of "Les Grands Montets" and in Vallorcine (near Vallorcine ski lift). All Bigfoot clients will receive 15% discount in the shop and between 20-40% on web bookings depending on the week chosen.

Sanglard also provide a "bootfitting" service where Jules and Damien, 2 World Cup technicians, welcome you and help you select your boots and a "Gore-Tex" ™ clothing rental service

Chamonix Valley Lift Passes

Bigfoot is one of the only companies with a Lift Pass printing machine in our office. You can order your pass through Bigfoot and have it waiting in your accommodation when you arrive. That means you can get straight on the slopes and not waste loads of time queuing for passes and equipment

When you book your holiday with us, our sales team can pre-book lift passes, saving you time and hassle and at no extra charge. A Chamski pass is the local valley pass and will give you access to the local bus service that will take you between ski areas of:
