Once you decide on which apartment or chalet and which date you want, either book on line at www.bigfoot-chamonix.com or calls us on 0870 300 5874
You can pay a 30% deposit by BACS, by credit card (3% charge) or debit card (2.5%). There is an online secure payment facility through Barclays bank
The deposit has to be paid immediately to confirm the accomodation. It can be held for a couple of days in order for you to collect deposits but no more. Please note, the accomodation can only be confirmed once a deposit has been received. It is necessary to mention this because on many occasions groups book a chalet/apartment, but never send a deposit or they send it very late. They are then really disappointed to find it has been rented once they finally get the deposit together. If for one reason or another you no longer require the accomodation, please drop us a line.
10 weeks before your arrival you must pay the balance. The date the balance is due is written on the invoice. You will be sent an automatic invoice from the online admin system.
You will also be sent an info pack that gives you detailled information on:
Directions
Important information regarding your accomodation
Important telephone numbers
Information about all our other services which include airport and slopes transfers, catering, ski passes, equipment hire, skiing lessons and much much more
Other information re Chamonix and local areas
When you arrive, a rep will come and meet you, give you an info pack and your key. We will also take your credit card details for a deposit if you are staying in self catered accommodation in case of damages to the property.
2.Security Deposit
Under what circumstances is money deducted from my credit card
The security deposit is only used when a group has mistreated the property. Treat the property like it is your own and there will be no problems. Here are some scenarios whereby we would deduct money:
The chalet/apartment is left in a really dirty state. Please read what we consider to be a reasonable state on the chalet/apartment notice board. A dirty state is rubbish and dirty plates all over the house. The kitchen full of dirty pots and pans. Bags of rubbish sitting in plastic bags outside. We hand the accommodation over to you in a very clean state. We don’t expect it to be cleaned, we have a team of cleaners for that but we do expect it to be left in a reasonable state.
Broken windows, furniture deliberate graffiti on the walls.
Broken televisions and electrical goods etc.
Misuse of the utilities.
Rubbish not being removed from the property.
If the group does not pay for the services we have charged for.
3.Check In and Check Out
Please note: Check In is 4.00pm and Check Out is 10.00am.
If your group arrives early we cannot allow anyone to enter the property before 4.00pm. Check out is 10am. We cannot extend this time as we have to clean the property before the next group arrives at 4.00pm. Groups refusing to leave or leaving very late will be charged another day.
